Project Description
The Historic Old Post Office and Clock Tower (1899) underwent a major revitalization and conversion in the heart of Washington D.C. to become the Trump International Hotel.
Scaffold Resource was approached to install and maintain a Personnel/Material Hoist and temporary trash chute scaffolding system to fully access 5 floors plus roof for material handling and disposal from multiple trades.
Due to the historic nature of the building our team took in account the back structure when installing the hoist and not interrupting the delicate façade. The owner requested a “New York Style” Overhead Protection for the duration of the project.
Scaffold Resource designed and engineered two walkways for pedestrian safety along the lengths of both Pennsylvania Ave and 12 St NW. This style overhead protection is taller by usual standards, required ample lighting similar to street lights, guardrails, and a larger load capacity.
