Project Narrative
The 20th annual Charm City Cross, held in Baltimore, MD’s historic Druid Hill Park, is a premier event in the cyclocross community. As a UCI-sanctioned C1 event and the Mid Atlantic’s leading two-day cyclocross race, it brought together international pros and regional cyclists for an exhilarating weekend of competition. In the past, racers faced a steep, straight-up staircase with no platforms or landings—just a brutal climb. For the 2024 events, the organizers recognized the need for an upgrade.
That’s where Scaffold Resource came in. We were thrilled to participate in constructing an amazing and challenging course that truly showcased the strength and determination of these talented athletes. The custom flyover designed and constructed by Scaffold Resource transformed the course, providing a safer, more strategic challenge for participants. This structure was tailored to the specific needs of the race, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal while meeting all safety standards.
Project Scope
- Design and Engineering: Scaffold Resource worked with the event organizers to design a structure that would meet the exact specifications of the Charm City Cross course.
- Installation: The team handled the entire installation process, ensuring the flyover was constructed on time and according to plan.
