Project Description

As one of the largest hoist projects in the Baltimore, DC corridor, Scaffold Resource installed 6 hoist cars, 4 of which were 6000-pound dual hoists allowing multiple cars to operate on one mast. The remaining 2 cars were oversized 8000-pound 15’-6” cars necessary for the large curtain wall assemblies that were being installed on the building. Multiple cars were installed via tower crane down into the basement of the building. This challenging installation was necessary to access the flat plane of the building to provide a clean straight access to the 300-foot office tower for both the West and East Residential Towers. The hoists were built along with the general contractor in a 21-step process where our team mobilized 18 times after the initial installations to keep pace with the building.
