The Parthenon has been one of the most sacred temples of Greece. This temple had been built over a span of seven years starting from 447 BC and another ten years to complete the other architectural intricacies. This temple has been under renovation for the last three decades. It was a great show when the temple was relieved of its scaffolding web last August. Visitors, tourists and believers who will visit the temple now will get to see the temple exteriors devoid of its scaffolding network.
However, this state is not going to last for long as another phase of renovation work will start from December this year. So for all those who have always seen it with the scaffolding, now is your chance to grab a glimpse of the structural edifice without its characteristic mesh of steel pipes. The new renovation work will start on the western façade of the temple.
